In this blog post, we’ll discuss how to leverage technology trends for business innovation. Yesterday, we hold a Zoom session on the same topic.
The session was great as we got around 35 startup founders joining the show and sharing their thoughts with us.
The Zoom session was hosted by Anshuman Sinha, an angel investor and co-founder of Startup Steroid.
“The types of tools that you should use in your business actually depend upon what type of products you’re building. The use of appropriate tools can enhance your productivity and make things prompt. It can save a lot of time because ultimately everyone gets only 24 hours a day.” — Anshuman Sinha
New to Let’s Talk Startup? It is an online startup meetup platform organizing weekly sessions talking about the complex topics of the startup world. Let’s Talk Startup is on a mission to solve the problems of startup founders one meetup at a time and build a stronger startup ecosystem.
According to Sanjay B Dalal, visualization is crucial for any startup. Figma can be an effective tool for visualizing and designing an app or project, which requires team involvement and collaboration. This tool can also help you grow your subscriber base. Especially, firms that have already moved beyond the MVP stage and are working on Prototype should use it.
“Besides Figma, you should also make effective use of social networking sites to grow your business. Today, people love spending time on social media. Some of the key social media websites to publicize your products or business interactively are Linkedin, Instagram, TikTok, and others,” Sanjay concluded.
Then, we also had Stuti On the show. She wanted to know some tools which can help her promote her brand, Bikalp Herbals.
Our marketing expert, Shankar Kumar said posting short and informative videos on YouTube and Instagram can help. He also suggested Stuti take some feedback from her existing customers and post them on her website and social media sites as customer testimonials.
Today, word-of-mouth publicity or referral can play a key role in the growth of startups across the world.
Another startup founder, Navneet Sinha, also shared his startup idea on our show. He informed us that he had been working on an idea to promote local sports events which don’t get much focus like the big tournaments such as IPL, KPL, and others do.
Starting from creating a digital library, to recording each event for the future, as he believes tomorrow is always important, he wants to make sure that each little-known event gets recorded digitally.
As you may never know a player who’s struggling today might be a superstar tomorrow. For example, today, we don’t have footage of MS Dhoni’s college cricket days. Thus, Navneet is planning something, which can revolutionize the sports media industry forever.
Our mentor, Anshuman Sinha, opined, “What you are trying to do is what EROS did three decades back; when video streaming was not there. He bought all video rights and now they have the biggest entertainment rights across India. Anybody who wants to watch movies from that era has to pay Eros. It’s going to be a humongous project and you should reach out to IPL franchisee owners for funding.”
Leveraging Technology Trends for Business Innovation: Key Tips
In the fiercely competitive world of start-ups, you need tools that can enhance your productivity while giving you a competitive edge. Harnessing the power of technology can help start-ups leverage key aspects of their business— management, team communication, customer relationship management (CRM), time management, and CMS.
Project Management: Efficient project management stands as a cornerstone for startups. By utilizing tools such as Asana or Trello, startups can meticulously plan, track, and collaborate on tasks.
These platforms provide a centralized hub where team members can access project information, assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress in real-time. As earlier pointed out, Figma can also help.
Enhancing Communication and Collaboration: Seamless communication and collaboration hold paramount importance in today’s modern workplace. Startups should use tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Google Workspace to facilitate real-time communication, streamline information sharing, and foster unparalleled collaboration among team members.
Almost all these tools come with useful features, including instant messaging, video conferencing, file sharing, and project management integrations.
Optimizing Customer Relationship Management: The establishment of robust customer relationships is pivotal to the success of startups. Some of the effective CRM tools that startups should integrate into their offices are HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zoho CRM among others.
These platforms allow startups to centralize customer data, automate repetitive tasks, personalize interactions, and glean invaluable insights into customer behavior.
Streamlining Productivity: Startups can optimize time management and supercharge overall productivity by embracing time tracking and productivity tools, including Toggl, RescueTime, or Harvest.
These tools enable startups to monitor and analyze the time dedicated to tasks, identify productivity bottlenecks, and subsequently streamline workflows.
In Conclusion
The effective utilization of technology empowers startups to focus on strategic initiatives, cultivate customer relationships, and fuel remarkable business growth. By embracing these emerging technologies, startups can position themselves for resounding success amidst today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.
